Kite Surfing is fast becoming the number 1 extreme water sport in the world and what better place to learn than the calm waters of the Mar Menor. Courses can be arranged which take place over a three day period, all of which are led by a fully qualified instructor who will follow a 3 step structure that is proven to maximise the clients knowledge, teach and maintain safety, and have the student up and on the board in three lessons.

Kiteboarding is using a large powerful kite to pull a person on a board in the water. Some people describe it as like windsurfing except you use a kite as your sail and a smaller board. Some describe it as being like wake boarding except you use a kite to pull you instead of a boat. You are using the kite as a sail to tack into the wind. You do not just get pulled downwind when kiteboarding. You tack perpendicular to the wind, upwind and downwind. You can go where you want to go. When you are first learning you will be doing downwind tacks but as you learn how to use the kite and board properly you will be able to stay upwind and tack upwind.


One of the most amazing aspects of kiteboarding is the jumping. When you are riding, you can use your kite to jump off the water. These jumps can be a foot or two off the water in the beginning to the pros hitting 40-50 feet off the water. You can even jump very high off flat water.
